Akira Seino

Associate Professor, Ph.D of Engineering

Akira Seino is currently an Associate Professor and PI at Robot Mechanism and System Integration Lab. in Fukushima University, Japan. He was a Project Researcher at Smart Robot Design Lab. in Tohoku University, Japan (2025-2026). He was a Research Officer at Centre for Transformative Garment Production (TransGP), Hong Kong SAR (2021-2025). He was also a Visiting Research Associate at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR (2022-2025). He was a Project Assistant Professor at Mechatronics Lab. in Fukushima University, Japan (2019-2021). He obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees at Tohoku University, Japan (2016, 2019).
His main research topic is in the area of mechanical desgin for robots, power-assisted system, and manipulation.
